About Us

Founded in October 2013, the Stanford Italian Society (SIS) is the Italian student group at Stanford University. Although our membership is limited to registered students, any member of the Stanford community is welcome to participate in our activities. Our events in particular are open to all members of the Stanford community and their guests.

"The Stanford Italian Society aims to strengthen the community of people who are Italian, speak Italian or are interested in Italian culture - both at Stanford and the surrounding Silicon Valley. We pursue this goal in three ways. We organize social events, cultural events, and discussion panels about Italy, its culture, economy and politics. We provide help to prospective Italian students and researchers to come to Stanford. We connect Italian universities, associations and businesses with our community."
